Holding a Coffee Enema In
Do you have trouble holding a coffee enema in for the full 15 minutes? This happens to many people, so you are not alone. But there are some helpful hints I can give you on how to hold it in longer. First , you want to make sure your colon is clear before starting the coffee enema. Do a water enema first and make sure all the poop is out of your colon. Coffee is a stimulant and so if your colon is full, you will want to go to the bathroom. So do the water enema first. Secondly, you do not want the coffee solution to flow too quickly into your colon. Make it go in slow. You may want to shut the clamp after a little coffee has gone in to the rectum. Wait and allow your body to be accustom to the coffee being in the colon. Then when you feel settled inside, you can open the clamp again and allow a little more coffee solution to flow in. Then clamp and wait again. Third, you can do slow, deep breathing. When you feel the urge to go, but the 15 minutes has not passed yet, start the slow breathing. Focus and be mindful of your breathing. This will help calm your body . If you still have some difficulty holding the coffee enema in for 15 minutes, you may want to try adding 1 teaspoon of Potassium Compound Salts powder into your coffee enema solution. Potassium Compound Salts soothe and calm the colon from spasms, enabling you to hold the coffee in longer. Or you may want to try the enema retention nozzle. This helps to hold it in. Its designed differently than the small 3" nozzle tip. Its larger and acts like a plug in the rectum. I don't recommend it if you have painful hemorrhoids.
