All Your Enema Questions Answered!

Purelife Enema Buckets are made in the USA - not in China - using 304 stainless steel. These are American-made medical devices that meet the highest-quality standards. You don’t have to worry about rusting, and as long as you care for your bucket properly, it will last decades. Though our enema buckets may be slightly more expensive than other products on the market, the quality and peace of mind that comes with an American-made product is well worth the small additional cost.

You will need an enema bucket or bag of your choice. It can be stainless steel, glass, silicone or plastic. You need a 5 ft silicone enema hose, clinch clamp and an enema nozzle. These are the basic items you need to do an enema. All of our kits come with these basic items.

If you are doing a coffee enema, then you will add a strainer and Purelife Enema Coffee. We suggest medium roast if you are a beginner. Other helpful accessories are an enema pad to lay on, and our non-toxic bucket and tubing soap.

Choose an enema kit according to what type of enema you will be doing.

Water Enema Only: Choose a 1 or 2 Qt size Purelife USA Stainless Steel Enema Kit, 1 – 2 Qt Purelife Glass Enema Kit, or Purelife Silicone Enema Bag. (4 cups = 1 Qt)
For Coffee Enemas: Choose a 1 or 2 qt USA Stainless Steel Coffee Kit, glass kit or silicone bag.
For Salt, Wheatgrass and Essential Oil Enemas: We recommend first our Purelife Glass Enema Kits because they are the easiest to clean when using these types of solutions. Next, we recommend our USA stainless steel kit, but for salt enemas you must wash and dry your bucket immediately after each use, because salt can damage stainless steel. Silicone is not recommended for wheatgrass enemas or essential oil enemas because it may be difficult to clean grass and oils from the silicone.
Beginners: If you love glass, please also buy a plastic bucket to practice with first.
Disposable Buckets: 1.5 Qt plastic buckets are for disposable use.

Cleaning an enema bucket is easier than cleaning a silicone bag.

There are 4 types of Purelife enema receptacles: USA stainless steel bucket, glass bucket, silicone bag, or plastic disposable bucket.

Purelife Stainless Steel Enema Bucket
PROS: Will last you for decades, easy to clean, very durable 304 grade. Not made in China. Compatible with water, coffee, wheatgrass and essential oils.
CONS: You cannot see through it. Not recommended for salt enemas, unless you clean and dry your bucket immediately after.

Purelife Glass Enema Buckets
PROS: You can see through it and is recommended for those using any type of enema solutions including water, coffee , wheatgrass and essential oils, salt and teas. Great for those with MCS or metal allergies. Very easy to clean! Very pure material.
CONS: Can break if not careful.

Purelife Silicone Enema Bags
PROS: Good for travel. For use with water or coffee. It is see-through and has a wide neck for cleaning.
CONS: Silicone is not as easy to clean. It is not recommended for wheatgrass or essential oils. Coffee will eventually stain silicone.

A check flow valve is an optional item to attach to your tubing to prevent back-flow of your enema solution up into the tubing and bucket. Using a check flow valve is a personal choice. You don't need one to do an enema. Some people cannot stand the thought of back flow. In this case a check flow valve is for them. Here is the drawback: If you fill your colon too quickly and feel too much pressure, you may want to relieve the pressure by allowing some of the solution to go back up into the tubing and into the bucket. If you are using a check flow valve you will not be able to do this. Many people like to use the check flow valves with coffee enemas. Just keep in mind that the grounds can clog the valve. In this case its best to buy a set of three at a time.

The difference is in the roast. The lighter the roast, the stronger or the more caffeine is in the coffee. We make three different potencies of enema coffee because everyone's health needs are different. One size does not fit all. You must find the enema coffee that your body responds to best.

Beginners will start with Purelife Medium Roast. If the medium roast works well for you, then there is no need to change strengths. The next higher level of potency is the Purelife Light Roast. This has more of a kick than the medium roast. Finally, there is the Purelife Ultra Light gold roast coffee, which is the most powerful. In our opinion, the gold roast coffee is not for the frail or elderly. It could be too strong. Because coffee enemas can remove some minerals and electrolytes from the body, you need to juice and take our mineral supplements.

After doing a coffee enema, many people experience more energy, mental sharpness and a sense of well-being. This can happen after your first time doing a coffee enema. Those that tend to be very toxic may not notice a difference until about the 4th or 5th time.

Sometimes if you have chosen a coffee that is too strong for you, you may have released more toxins than you are able to release at once and may feel tired. This is why it is always best to start with the Purelife medium roast enema coffee first and work your way up from there if you so choose.

Colon tubes are thin, so for those with hemorrhoids, it can be more comfortable to insert. Another use is to go higher up in the colon to wash the colon walls or do a higher enema. It is best not to insert it higher than 6 inches. Colon tubes are 6 inches to 16 inches long. They are an optional item you can use instead of the 3-inch nozzle. Gerson recommends a red colon tube for coffee enemas. For those not on Gerson, it not a necessity.

There are three choices; disposable vinyl, red latex and silicone. The main difference simply being the material they are made of. They come in disposable plastic for 1x use, a soft red latex or a more durable silicone for those who want a see though tube for cleaning. The silicone colon tube is stiffer than the red colon tube but it is still pliable.

Customer Praise for Pure Life Enema Products

I found a high-quality kit made by "Purelife Enema" and had excellent reviews (thus, a very high rating). I bought this kit to closely examine it and check customer service, etc. I never like to recommend anything to you without first looking at it myself. It is awesome, looks very easy to use, and it met with my approval.

My wife and I have been using the Purelife equipment and coffee for over a year and we could not be happier with our experience. We have recommended it to our friends. The healing powers of the coffee enemas are not exaggerated. My wife had chronic migraines, some persistent acne and felt fatigued often. The consistent use of the coffee enema kit along with juicing helped alleviate all of those problems.
